Springing into action! April 2010Summary of six month's statistics!Joy treated 3545 sick children (around 48 each day) - over 75% were healed after one treatment. Less than 10% of the sick children suffer from malaria now (that is a 67% reduction in four years). Janepher taught 5842 pupil lessons (nos. pupils x nos. lessons) resulting in children understanding 75% more about malaria. It is working as they are much healthier now! Mark in Uganda“The main reason for my trip was to teach at a Fatherheart Ministries’ School on the Father's love at Mto-Moyoni by the Nile (Debbie’s favourite spot!) The Helping Hands’ team was part of the school which was an opportunity to make new friends and to receive more of God’s love. This is integral to what they do each day and we were grateful to receive sponsorship for them from a generous friend. I preached at El-Shaddai Church and met many of those affected by what Joy and the team do and share each week. We also visited the school which meets there and took an assembly involving crown wearing and being princes and princesses of the Real King! It was great to see what God is doing in the villages.” (Mark Gyde is one of the Trustees and runs A father to you)Reflections from Clara’s Trip"I really enjoyed experiencing Uganda because there is so much to take in, everything is different; the atmosphere, the people, and you don't have to look very far to see God. I realised that God is so powerful and big, yet he is so close and personal. Going to Uganda opened my eyes to how I should act as a Christian in the UK, it also showed me how real God is. It helped me experience him." Clara x |
